All home inspection services include Full Thermal Imaging Scans performed with FLIR cameras.

If your building inspector is not using Full Thermal Imaging Scans during your inspection, you may be missing a lot of important details.  FLIR cameras use infrared imaging to capture pictures of wavelengths beyond those which can be seen by the unaided human eye, which allows us to view and document variations in temperature. Infrared cameras are invaluable tools for home inspectors, which is why we use them for all home inspection services. They are of particular importance when it comes to multi-unit buildings, like condos, because of the issues that can arise when multiple floors are involved and there is plumbing above and adjacent to a dwelling. Thermal imaging scans allow us to detect heat loss at key points, including doors, windows, ceilings, walls, and floors. We are able to detect hard to discover leaks in pipes, walls, roofs, insulation, and heating and cooling systems, which can lead to early detection and even prevention of mold, insect and rodent infestations, and other defects requiring expensive repairs.

If you are a real estate agent who has never used Power Check Home Inspections, PLLC’s services before, the 1st client you refer to us will receive a $30 discount!

HOME INSPECTION SERVICES

Standard Home Inspections

Power Check Home Inspections, LLC will be there for you when you are in the process of purchasing a home.

Whether you’re interested in buying a home to live in, rent, or sell, we will inspect it and let you know exactly what condition your potential property is in.  You cannot make informed decisions without proper information, which is why we meet and exceed the State of Texas’ Standards of Practice.

Pre-Listing Inspections

Why should you schedule a home inspection before you list your property? The reasons are countless!

For one, you do not want to be surprised during negotiations. You also want the sale of your property to go as quickly and smoothly as possible. Importantly, you could also save a substantial amount of money by having repairs taken care of before you put your home on the market.

Multi-Unit Inspections

One of our specialties is inspecting multi-unit buildings, including townhomes and condominiums.

Our Full Thermal Imaging Scans, which allow us to view Infrared images of what lies above, below, and between each unit are indispensable.

Phased New Construction Inspections

If you are investing in new construction, you want to be certain that things are done the right way.

In order to be sure that the finished product is free from defects, hire us to inspect the building during various phases of its construction. You will save a considerable amount of time and money by having us inspect it before the foundation is complete and the concrete is poured, prior to the installation of the framing and insulation, when mechanical and other elements can be inspected, and when the building is complete but you have not yet held your final walk through.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Wood Destroying Insect Inspections

Termites and other critters are attracted to the Texas climate.

Before purchasing a home, you will want to schedule a WDI inspection so that we can check for signs of termite damage and the possibility that other pests have invaded the home you intend to inhabit.

Pool & Spa Inspection

There is nothing like coming home to a pool or a spa after a long day at work or when you are playing host to friends and family.

Pools and spas are a great asset, but their complex systems require more than just checking that the chemical levels are correct. We will inspect components including pumps, motors, filters, drains, heaters, piping, valves, water sources, lighting, electrical wiring, ladders, slides, and diving boards to make sure you can relax and take a dip or a dive.

Septic Inspection

Septic tanks are often ignored by homeowners who do not pay attention to the fact that they must to be flushed and otherwise maintained.

We will locate your septic tank, report on its level and condition, and let you know whether and when flushing will be necessary.
