CHARITIES WE SUPPORT
Charity work is very important to me and to my family. I have listed some local charities below that are serving the Austin community.
Lake Travis Lions Club
Founded in 1917, we are best known for fighting blindness – it’s part of our history as well as our work today. But we also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects – including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.
Assistance League of Austin
Assistance League of Austin is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to addressing specific needs through practical and innovative programs. Assistance League of Austin has been serving the Austin community since 1973 as an all-volunteer, “hands-on” organization of 418 dedicated members (as of June 2016) with no paid staff.
Incorporated in 1907 in the State of Texas as the Young Women’s Christian Association of the University of Texas, the YWCA of Greater Austin has always been more than exercise and fitness programs, as many YW’s are – the YWCA of Greater Austin is, and always has been, a service organization that focuses on the health and human service needs of women and girls most whom are low to moderate income.
Mobile Loaves & Fishes
In addition to continuing our truck ministry, we have expanded to include our Community First! Housing Program and the Community Works Program. Please join us in feeding, loving, and helping those men and women who need it most.
Boys & Girls Club Austin
We are Austin’s leading youth development agency – a 501(c)(3) non-profit, locally governed agency devoted to providing hope and opportunity to all kids, especially those who need us most, between the ages of 6 and 18.
The Honor Flight Austin mission is to transport veterans with a specific priority to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices and return them home to their families and loved ones.
